The firstborn of Egypt were and are every bit as cherished by God as the children of Bethlehem. I don’t know for certain who wrote the book of Exodus, no one does, but I do know the author was wrong about God killing Egypt’s children. God doesn’t do that. Should I find out God did, then I will feel no obligation to worship a God who is no better than Hitler.
